Labour Weekend October 2010 - October 22-25 2010.  North Shore Miniatures will be running a mystery bus tour on Tuesday 26th October.  You may like to take this into consideration when making your travel and accommodation bookings.

Transport to and from the venue will be available from the following accommodation options which are reasonably close.

TRANSFER OPTIONS

     (From outside domestic airport – prices as at March 2010)                            

  ·         Alert Taxis and Quality Cabs– approximately $100.00-$110.00 one way and the trip may take between 30-45 minutes depending on traffic.  These taxis are usually parked at the rank outside the domestic airport.  This may be a viable option if you are travelling in a group as it will go direct to your destination.                                      

·        Quality Shuttles:  one person $50.00, two people $60.00, three people $65.00 This shuttle company is at the airport premises 24 hours per day so should be an easy one to catch.  Ensure that you let them know you are a group if there are more than one of you.  It is possible you may need to wait 10-20mins for another shuttle to come along if you have just missed one.  Bear in mind that shuttles may not travel directly to your destination as they may have other drop offs.

·        Airport Swift Shuttles: Cost:  $40-$45.00 and they may give discounts if there is more than one of you.  Again these shuttles will be parked outside the domestic airport. 

·        The Northern Flyer   An integrated ticket is available for travel between Auckland Airport and Albany using the Airbus and Northern Busway services.  Tickets can be purchased from the ticket machine at the international terminal bus stop or from the Airbus driver. Tickets cost about NZ$18 one way, $30 return... look out for the bright blue Airbus!
